Gong Bao Chicken was a success!  It was a kick to make and it tasted reeally good. I do think I will add a little more heat the next time. I used a deep frying pan instead of the wok and it worked well. Here's a pic of how mine turned out. I served with Sauteed snow pea pods and rice.

Found everything I needed !  I love Central Market!! Thanks for all of the FB comments and encouragements.
I am going to try these recipes without the advantage of a Wok. Wish me luck. I may have to actually break down and buy a good one.

Gong Bao Chicken

Here we go! On the menu for tomorrow is Gong Bao Chicken...commonly known as Kung Pao Chicken. I've invited a couple of friends to be Guinea Pigs/Tasters. I'm off in search of black vinegar and good soy sauce.

I am excited to try new ingredients and some new techniques. New seems to be the theme here. Hoping this will infuse some new passion into my life.
